Louisville – Councilwoman Cindi Fowler (D-14) announced that Mr. Lynn Murray was found safe and able to follow commands this morning in Bullitt County, near Weavers Run and Pauleys Gap Roads.

A local tree service crew noticed him and promptly alerted the authorities. He was subsequently transported to University Hospital shortly before Noon.

“We have the best neighbors out here. Thank you to everyone who helped search for him,” said Mrs. Murray.

Mr. Murray, who is battling Alzheimer’s disease, had been missing since Monday morning. In response, the Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD) had issued a Golden Alert to aid in his search.

Councilwoman Fowler added, “I want to echo Mrs. Murray’s gratitude and extend my thanks to everyone involved in the search. A special acknowledgement goes to Shawn Herron with Louisville Metro Emergency Management Agency for leading the efforts. We’re so relieved Mr. Murray was found in such a timely manner,” said Councilwoman Fowler.
