The University of Louisville baseball team announced on Apr. 29 that it will start a seven-game road trip with a three-game series against Wake Forest. The opening game is scheduled for Thursday night at 7 p.m. Eastern Time and will be televised on the ACC Network. Radio coverage for the first two games will be available on 93.9 The Ville, while Saturday’s game can be heard on 970 WGTK.

This road trip comes as the regular season enters its final month, with Louisville having 11 games left to play, including ten against teams that have been ranked during the spring. The Cardinals are coming off a recent loss to Indiana by a score of 10-6, which ended their five-game winning streak. In that game, Jimmy Nugent hit his fourth home run in three games.

Historically, Louisville holds a record of 22-12-1 in its previous meetings with Wake Forest but has lost three straight series to the Demon Deacons, dropping the first two games each time before winning the finale.

Several players have reached notable milestones this season. Tague Davis set and then surpassed Louisville’s freshman home run record and now leads nationally in both home runs and RBIs as a sophomore. Lucas Moore leads the Atlantic Coast Conference in stolen bases this season and ranks second all-time at Louisville with more than one hundred career steals. Nugent has improved his batting average significantly over recent weeks and helped secure a weekend sweep of Clemson with a walk-off home run.
