The University of Louisville baseball team will conclude its five-game homestand with a matchup against Indiana on April 28. The game is scheduled for a 6 p.m. ET start and will be televised on ACC Network Extra, with radio coverage available on 93.9 The Ville.
This game follows Louisville’s first conference sweep of the season, where the Cardinals won all three games against Clemson over the weekend. During that series, Jimmy Nugent, Tague Davis, and Ben Slanker combined for seven home runs.
The Cardinals are currently riding a five-game winning streak and have been averaging more than ten runs per game in that span. They have recorded 24 extra-base hits, including twelve home runs during these games. Louisville has also increased its activity on the basepaths recently, stealing at least three bases in ten of their last fourteen games for a total of fifty stolen bases in that period.
Tague Davis has set new records this season by hitting his twenty-sixth home run in just forty-four games, surpassing the previous single-season record at Louisville which had stood since 1974. Davis enters Tuesday as the national leader in both home runs and RBIs with seventy-six RBIs so far this season.
Lucas Moore leads the Atlantic Coast Conference with thirty stolen bases this year and now has one hundred career steals, making him only the second player in program history to reach that milestone. On defense, Louisville pitchers and catchers have limited opponents to just twenty-five successful steals out of fifty-one attempts; their caught stealing rate ranks third nationally.
