The University of Louisville track and field teams will participate in three separate meets from April 1 to April 4. The Cardinals are set to compete at the Texas Relays in Austin, the Bobcat Invitational in San Marcos, and the Stanford Invitational in California.

This multi-meet week provides athletes with opportunities to begin their outdoor seasons across a variety of events. Athletes will be split between locations based on their specialties, with multis and pole vaulters heading to Austin, jumpers competing in San Marcos, and distance runners traveling to Stanford.

At the Texas Relays, a small group including heptathletes Lucy Fellows—returning after redshirting the indoor season—and Maya Follmer will represent Louisville. Pole vaulters KJ Byrd and Ashley Callahan are also scheduled for their season debuts; both earned Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) titles during the indoor season.

Jumpers Roman Kuleshov and Miller Jones will open their outdoor campaigns at the Bobcat Invitational following strong performances indoors. Kuleshov secured his first ACC title in men’s triple jump while Jones was named Men’s Field MVP at the ACC Indoor Championships after winning two silver medals.

Distance runner Elsingi Kipruto is set for his collegiate outdoor debut at Stanford after placing fourth in the men’s 5000 meters during this year’s NCAA Indoor Championships. Kipruto also received ACC Men’s Indoor Freshman of the Year honors for his performance.
