The Louisville women’s golf team finished the first round of the Ironwood Invitational in eighth place after play concluded on April 5 at the Ironwood Golf & Country Club. The Cardinals posted a score of 23-over-par 311 for the opening round.

This result places Louisville among the top ten teams as they prepare for subsequent rounds. The performance highlights both individual and team efforts, with several players standing out on Sunday.

Emree Cameron, competing as an individual, recorded the best score for Louisville with a 1-over-par 73 that included two birdies. She is tied for sixth overall going into day two. Thienna Huynh also performed well, shooting a 2-over-par 74 and securing four birdies to tie for thirteenth place. Veronika Exposito ended her round tied for twenty-seventh with a score of five-over-par 77.

Bailey Burkett made an eagle on the front nine and completed her day at six-over-par 78, tying her for twenty-ninth position heading into Monday’s second round. Millie Cottrell finished at ten-over-par (82), tying for sixty-seventh, while Madison Moman was eleven-over-par (83) and tied for seventy-third overall.
