The University of Louisville women’s tennis team lost 4-0 to Wake Forest in the Atlantic Coast Conference regular season finale on April 5 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

This match concluded the Cardinals’ conference schedule, with Wake Forest securing a decisive victory. The result impacts Louisville’s momentum as they approach their final home match and senior day celebration.

In doubles play, Louisville dropped the opening point. Elena Noguero and Berta Miret fell 6-1 at No. 1 doubles to Nevena Carton and Sankavi Gownder, while Krystal Blanch and Aubrey Nisbet defeated Alice Otis and Lucia Gallegos by the same score on court three, clinching the doubles point for Wake Forest.

During singles competition, Kady Tannenbaum won over Rebekkah Gaines 6-1, 6-2 at No. 6 singles for Wake Forest’s first singles point. Elena Noguero then lost to Evie Oxford at No. 3 singles by a score of 6-1, 6-3. The Deacons secured the overall match when Nevena Carton defeated Alice Otis at No. 1 singles with a score of 6-2, 6-2.

The Cardinals will celebrate their Senior Day against Austin Peay on Saturday, April 11 at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.
