U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY) issued a statement on the death of Jefferson County Clerk Bobbie Holsclaw, who served in her role for nearly three decades.
McConnell praised Holsclaw’s leadership and commitment to public service, noting her impact on local government in Jefferson County. He stated, “For nearly 30 years, Bobbie’s effective leadership made local government accessible, reliable, and responsible for all Jefferson County residents. Bobbie’s drive for excellence touched everything she did, and we all greatly benefited from her nationally-recognized service. Time and again, Bobbie earned the trust of her constituents, and she upheld the integrity and dignity of her office each and every day. The qualities that made her an exceptional public servant also made her a remarkable friend. As Elaine and I cherish the warm memories of Bobbie, we extend our condolences to her family and all of her colleagues and friends.”
Holsclaw was recognized for maintaining high standards in office operations throughout her tenure as county clerk.
