Rep. Morgan McGarvey, who represents Kentucky’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of statements on July 22, 2025, addressing issues ranging from healthcare for premature infants to concerns about political power and legislative priorities.

In a tweet at 16:51 UTC, McGarvey expressed gratitude to colleagues for their efforts on infant nutrition: “Thank you Rep. @rosadelauro and @CongressmanRaja for your help in taking on the insurance companies and making sure our smallest preemies have the nutrition they need to grow and thrive!”

Later that evening, at 22:42 UTC, McGarvey emphasized his stance against former President Donald Trump’s actions, stating: “We cannot give a single inch when it comes to protecting every Louisvillian from Donald Trump’s abuses of power. My full statement: https://t.co/qLd6ErSqXt

At 23:00 UTC the same day, he criticized House Republicans over healthcare and transparency issues related to Jeffrey Epstein files: “Republicans will vote all night long to take away your health care, but shut down the House over releasing the Epstein files. Donald Trump will always protect his billionaire friends over you. It’s that simple. https://t.co/s0Q3yhSbom”

Morgan McGarvey has represented Kentucky’s 3rd District since 2023 after succeeding John Yarmuth in Congress. Prior to this role, he served in both the Kentucky House of Representatives (2019–2023) and Kentucky Senate (2013–2023). Born in Louisville in 1979, McGarvey is currently 43 years old and continues to reside in his hometown. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Missouri and earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 2007.
