U.S. Representative Morgan McGarvey, who serves Kentucky’s 3rd district, posted a series of statements on social media addressing recent events and legislative actions, including recognition for first responders and calls for transparency regarding the Epstein files.
On November 17, 2025, McGarvey acknowledged the Okolona Fire Department’s response to a local tragedy. He wrote: “The men and women of the Okolona Fire Department were first on the scene at the devastating UPS plane crash on Nov 4, heroically answering the call to protect our community when we needed it most. Thank you for your service and bravery on that tragic day and every day.”
The following day, November 18, McGarvey shifted focus to congressional action regarding high-profile legal matters. He stated: “We have to get justice for these survivors. We have to hold the rich and powerful accountable. Today, I’m voting to release the Epstein files.” Later that same day, he reported on developments in Congress: “Despite a massive cover-up campaign from the President and Republican leadership, we finally voted to release the Epstein files. These victims deserve justice and the American people deserve the truth.”
Morgan McGarvey has represented Kentucky’s 3rd District in Congress since 2023 after succeeding John Yarmuth. Prior to his tenure in Congress, he served in both chambers of Kentucky’s legislature—the House of Representatives from 2019 to 2023 and the Senate from 2013 to 2023. McGarvey was born in Louisville in 1979 and continues to reside there today. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Missouri and earned his law degree from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 2007.
