Rep. Morgan McGarvey, a U.S. Congress member representing Kentucky’s 3rd district since 2023, has been actively communicating through social media about various political and community events. Born in Louisville, Kentucky, McGarvey holds degrees from the University of Missouri and the University of Kentucky College of Law.

On February 21, 2025, Rep. McGarvey addressed an ongoing legal issue via Twitter regarding former President Trump’s funding freeze: “Trump’s funding freeze is illegal — we’ll keep fighting it with every tool we have.”

Later that day, he announced an upcoming town hall event at Central High School in Louisville: “TOMORROW: I’m hosting a town hall at Central High School. Every Louisvillian is invited to attend — let’s talk about what we’re doing & how we can take care of our community.” The event was scheduled for February 22 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.

The following day, on February 22, McGarvey provided updates on another town hall meeting at Ballard High School: “TOMORROW: My town hall at Ballard High School is at capacity for RSVPs — all Louisvillians are welcome to attend, but we recommend that you arrive 30 minutes to an hour early.” This meeting was planned for February 23 from 2 pm to 3 pm.
