The congressman criticized the Trump administration’s actions in this context.
In another post dated June 13, 2025, McGarvey expressed concern over Donald Trump’s plan to cut public broadcasting services by $1.1 billion. He emphasized that “Kentuckians rely on public broadcasting for disaster and extreme weather alerts,” especially in rural areas of the Commonwealth.
