U.S. Congressman Morgan McGarvey, who represents Kentucky’s 3rd district, recently shared a series of updates on his official Twitter account highlighting local initiatives and events in Louisville.

On September 13, 2025, McGarvey posted about the opening of a new bookstore at Simmons College during HBCU week. He wrote, “In celebration of HBCU week, Simmons College opened its brand new bookstore today! Two days later, on September 14, he celebrated Kentucky’s bourbon heritage with another post: “Bourbon brings people together — no one knows that better than the Congressional Bourbon Caucus. Always happy to toast our signature spirit with you, @RepAndyBarr #WorldBourbonToast @kybourbontrail”

On September 15, McGarvey announced significant federal support for Louisville’s riverfront development: ” LOUISVILLE GRANT ANNOUNCEMENT $10 million in federal funding we helped secure is now headed to create Waterfront Park! Not only will these efforts create a new space for Louisvillians to use, they’ll rehabilitate and revitalize the Ohio River in the process.”
