Rep. Morgan McGarvey, who represents Kentucky’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of updates on November 6, 2025, addressing community support efforts, an upcoming veteran recognition event, and paying tribute to former Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
In a message about ongoing recovery initiatives for his constituents, McGarvey stated on November 6: “As our community recovers, we’re working to make sure all those impacted have the support and resources they need. Earlier the same day, McGarvey announced an event to honor veterans: “REMINDER: My Vietnam veteran pinning ceremony is on Monday November 10. RSVP here: https://t.co/H5DVn3Ya93 https://t.co/BlC3kbRLAs”.
He also took time to recognize the career of Nancy Pelosi upon her retirement from Congress, writing: “Nancy Pelosi led Congress with compassion, grit, and a real vision for our country. And we are better for it. I’m immeasurably grateful for her service and wish her all the best in her retirement. She earned it.”
Morgan McGarvey has served as the representative for Kentucky’s 3rd district since 2023 after succeeding John Yarmuth. Before his tenure in Congress, he was a member of both the Kentucky House of Representatives and the Kentucky Senate between 2013 and 2023. Born in Louisville in 1979, McGarvey holds degrees from the University of Missouri and the University of Kentucky College of Law.
