Rep. Morgan McGarvey, who represents Kentucky’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, shared updates on social media regarding the recent UPS plane crash and ongoing legislative debates in Washington, D.C.
On November 12, 2025, McGarvey posted the names of those lost in a recent aviation accident: “We now know the names of all 14 people we lost in the heartbreaking UPS plane crash.

Later that day, McGarvey commented on congressional action regarding health care reform: “I’m voting no because I refuse to pretend Congress is powerless to fix this health care crisis. Now is not the time to cave.”
In a subsequent post from Washington, D.C., he reiterated his commitment to supporting families facing difficult choices between basic needs and medical care: “I’m here in DC to keep fighting to make sure no one ever has to choose between putting a roof over their head or taking their kid to the doctor. I’m not caving.”
Morgan McGarvey began serving as Kentucky’s 3rd district representative in Congress after succeeding John Yarmuth in 2023. Prior to his current role, he served both in the Kentucky House of Representatives and Senate for several years. Born and residing in Louisville, McGarvey holds degrees from the University of Missouri and the University of Kentucky College of Law.
