In another tweet, McGarvey voiced criticism of Trump’s previous term, highlighting the economic impact of tariffs. He stated, “Trump tried this before — it failed, and we all paid for it. Under his first term tariffs, our trade deficit increased, our national debt went up, and we lost manufacturing jobs. There’s no reason to think it will be different this time.”
