Rep. Morgan McGarvey, who represents Kentucky’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, has recently highlighted his engagement with constituents and interns through a series of posts on his official Twitter account.

On July 23, 2025, McGarvey reminded Louisville families about an upcoming event: “REMINDER: I’m hosting a telephone town hall TONIGHT AT 7PM to hear directly from Louisville families about what’s happening at home and DC. Sign up before 2:30 PM to get the call: https://t.co/Khl7uYX3Sm https://t.co/MmYDDrHMfT”.

Later that day, he acknowledged the contributions of Kentuckians working in Washington, D.C., and encouraged further participation: “It’s been great having so many incredible Kentuckians on the team in DC this summer! I always love the opportunity to hear new perspectives and ideas from our interns. If you’re interested in a fall internship with my office, there’s still time to apply: https://t.co/UpW0Xsn3J2 https://t.co/Ny1fzSzkF2”.

On July 24, McGarvey reflected on his ongoing outreach efforts and constituent concerns regarding federal policy: “Just finished my 13th town hall since Trump took office. Overwhelmingly, we heard from Louisvillians worried about Medicaid cuts and the impact of Trump’s policies in our community. These are the voices and stories that fuel our fight in Washington — don’t let up. https://t.co/ougvPaEqnu”.

McGarvey has served as U.S. Representative for Kentucky’s 3rd district since replacing John Yarmuth in 2023. Before joining Congress, he served in both chambers of Kentucky’s legislature—first as a member of the Senate from 2013 to 2023 and then briefly in the House of Representatives between 2019 and 2023. Born in Louisville in 1979, McGarvey holds degrees from the University of Missouri (BA) and University of Kentucky College of Law (JD).
