U.S. Representative Morgan McGarvey, who serves Kentucky’s 3rd district in Congress, posted a series of statements on November 13, 2025, urging action on the release of the so-called Epstein files and criticizing Republican leadership for their response to ongoing national issues.
On the morning of November 13, McGarvey announced his intent to force legislative action, writing: “As of today we’re forcing a vote to release the Epstein files.” Later that day, he reiterated his stance and directed criticism at congressional Republicans, stating: “Sunlight is the best disinfectant. It’s time for Republicans to stop covering for Donald Trump, release the Epstein files, and get justice for the victims.”
In another post later that afternoon, McGarvey addressed what he described as a health care crisis linked to Republican inaction. He wrote: “This is not normal. This is the direct result of Republican inaction on the health care crisis. I’m tired of Congress pretending we’re powerless to fix this.”
Morgan McGarvey has represented Kentucky’s 3rd district since 2023 after succeeding John Yarmuth. Before his tenure in Congress, he served in both chambers of Kentucky’s state legislature—the House from 2019 to 2023 and the Senate from 2013 to 2023. McGarvey was born in Louisville in 1979 and continues to reside there. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri and earned his law degree from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 2007.
