Bellarmine finishes as runner-up in ASUN Academic Standings

Bellarmine University finished second out of 12 teams in the final 2021-22 ASUN Academic Standings.

Of the 311 total student-athletes among 18 Bellarmine teams that compete in the ASUN, 256 or 82.32 percent earned spots on the ASUN Honor Roll (minimum 3.0 GPA in the 2021-22 academic year).

Lipscomb was the only school to top Bellarmine, with 88.97 percent (242 of 272) of its student-athletes garnering ASUN Honor Roll accolades.

Bellarmine has finished in the top 2 of the ASUN Academic Standings in each of its two seasons in the conference. BU was the 2020-21 ASUN Academic Champion.  

North Florida ranked third in the standings behind Lipscomb and Bellarmine with 81.12 percent of its ASUN student-athletes earning Honor Roll acknowledgement and was followed by Jacksonville (fourth, 80.60 percent), North Alabama (fifth, 75.36) and Stetson (sixth, 70.51) in the top 6.

Liberty (seventh, 70.42), Central Arkansas (eighth, 63.81), Jacksonville State (ninth, 62.78), Eastern Kentucky (10th, 60.83), Kennesaw State (11th, 55.14) and FGCU (12th, 54.09) rounded out the list.

In total among the 12 ASUN schools, 2,521 of 3,601 student-athletes or 70.01 percent earned recognition on the ASUN Honor Roll.
