Fichter earns second SLIAC Player of the Week honor

Spalding University women's basketball senior Natalie Fichter has been named the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) Player of the Week for the second time this season, the conference announced Monday.

The senior forward shined in her last three games. Fichter scored in double digits in all three games including against No. 3 Transylvania. The Louisville, Ky. native also nabbed her second double-double of the season with a 19-point, 10-rebound performance in a 61-57 win over Immaculata.

Fichter averaged 19.7 points per game and 7.7 rebounds per contest over the three-game stretch.

This is the second SLIAC Player of the Week award of the year for Golden Eagle women's basketball.

Spalding returns to the court Saturday, December 31 at 1 p.m. hosting Anderson.
