McGowan of men’s track named SLIAC Player of the Week
Spalding University men's track graduate student Peter McGowan has been named the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) Track Athlete of the Week for the first time this season, the conference announced Monday.
McGowan placed fifth with a time of 9:27 in the 3000-meter race for the Golden Eagles. The fifth-year runner was also a key part of SU's Distance Medley Relay team which won the relay with a time of 11:36.
It is the first SLIAC Player of the Week award of the year for Spalding track & field.
