Louisville  – Louisville Metro Councilman Phillip Baker (D-6) has released the following statement regarding the United Auto Workers (UAW) strike at the Kentucky Ford Plant.

"As a Louisvillian, I wholeheartedly stand in support of the United Auto Workers at the Ford Kentucky Truck Plant as they embark on this strike. The men and women on the front lines of our local automotive industry deserve fair wages, safe working conditions, and a voice in shaping their future. The dedication and hard work of these UAW members have played an integral role in our community's economic vitality, and it's imperative that we stand with them in their pursuit of a just and equitable agreement. I applaud their courage in fighting for their rights and ensuring that their contributions to our city and its economy are duly recognized,” said Councilman Baker.
