Rep. Morgan McGarvey, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Kentucky’s 3rd district, shared several statements on social media concerning significant issues related to gender equality and national security.
On March 25, 2025, McGarvey addressed the persistent issue of gender wage disparity, stating, "Everyone deserves equal pay for equal work. But this year, the gender wage gap is even wider than it was last year. Let's keep fighting to pass the Paycheck Fairness Act and close the wage gap once and for all. #EqualPayDay".
Later the same day, McGarvey criticized Pete Hegseth for actions he claimed endangered American lives. McGarvey tweeted, "Pete Hegseth put American lives at risk. There is no excuse for this reckless incompetence — someone should lose their job over this."
The following day, March 26, 2025, McGarvey elaborated further on his criticism of Hegseth, stating, "Pete Hegseth put American lives at risk when he sent war plans in a group chat — then he lied to cover it up. If he doesn't resign, he should be fired."
