67 percent of applicants to The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary were admitted for fall 2018

At The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, 85 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 58 percent are male, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Louisville enrolled 4,121 students in fall 2018, including 983 in undergraduate and 3,138 in graduate programs, data shows. 2.7 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

20 percent of undergraduates are residents of Kentucky, and 77 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (87 percent) and Black or African American (3 percent).

The school admitted 67 percent of the 315 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 95 percent enrolled.
