72 percent of applicants to the University of Louisville were admitted for fall 2018

At the University of Louisville, 84 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 52 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Louisville enrolled 21,430 students in fall 2018, including 15,641 in undergraduate and 5,789 in graduate programs, data shows. 6.3 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

79 percent of undergraduates are residents of Kentucky, and 20 percent are residents of other states. 1 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (71 percent) and Black or African American (12 percent).

The school admitted 72 percent of the 13,851 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 29 percent enrolled.
