Schmitt picks up ASUN Player of the Week honor

Bellarmine's Alaina Schmitt earned her first career ASUN Conference Women's Golfer of the Week honor after her top-five finish at the Nevel Meade Collegiate, the league office announced Thursday. Schmitt carded rounds of 74 and 75 to finish 5-over-par and led the field in scoring on Par 4's shooting 1-over while she tallied five birdies between the two rounds.

- First Career ASUN Women's Golfer of the Week honor; first-ever honor for Bellarmine 

- Shot a 36-hole 149 to finish tied fifth on the Par 72, 5,953-yard Nevel Meade Golf Course 

- Carded rounds of 74 and 75 to finish 5-over-par

- Led the field in scoring on Par 4's shooting 1-over while she tallied five birdies between the two rounds

- Helped the Knights to finish seventh with Cleveland State with a 638 (+62)
