The Louisville Metro Air Pollution Control District (District) is opening a 30-day public comment period starting May 10, 2023, on a proposed Agreed Board Order with Carbide Industries, LLC to resolve violations of District Regulation 2.16 Title V Operating Permits. The District issued Notice of Violation ENF-APCD-20-00035 for these violations. What action is the Air Pollution Control Board taking? The Louisville Metro Air Pollution Control Board (Board) will hold a public hearing, via Video Teleconference, to take oral comment on the proposed Agreed Board Order at 10:00 a.m. June 21, 2023. The Board will consider adoption of this Agreed Board Order at its regularly scheduled Board meeting immediately following the June 21st public hearing.

Ormsby Ave., Suite 303, Louisville, Ky 40203, until 5:00 p.m., June 9, 2023. Oral statements will be accepted at a public hearing held via video teleconference at 10:00 a.m. June 21, 2023. Oral statements will also be accepted at that time in the Edison Room of the Edison Center at 701 West Ormsby Avenue, Louisville, Kentucky 40203. Instructions on attending the teleconferences will be posted on the District’s events web page before the hearing and emailed to subscribers of APCD Public Notices.
