Morgan McGarvey, a current U.S. Congress member representing Kentucky's 3rd district, has recently shared his thoughts on various national and state issues through a series of tweets. McGarvey, who succeeded John Yarmuth in 2023, took to social media to address topics ranging from the release of Ryan Corbett to the impacts of significant court decisions on Kentucky.

On January 21, 2025, McGarvey expressed gratitude for the successful efforts leading to Ryan Corbett's release. In his post, he acknowledged the contributions of several individuals and groups: "Ryan Corbett is free. We're beyond grateful for the tireless efforts of his family, President Biden, @RepTenney, and so many more who never gave up on bringing Ryan home. My heart is with Ryan and his loved ones as they begin to heal."

Later that day, McGarvey turned his attention to campaign finance reform. He criticized the Citizens United decision in a tweet: "For 15 years, Citizens United has put the interests of big corporations and billionaires over the interests of American people. Billionaires spent over $2 billion on last year’s election — it’s time to #EndCitizensUnited and get dark money out of politics."

The following day, January 22, 2025, McGarvey addressed abortion rights in Kentucky in light of recent judicial decisions: "It's been 52 years since Roe v Wade, and nearly 3 since the Dobbs decision triggered Kentucky's abortion ban — one of the most extreme in the country. We've seen the consequences firsthand in our commonwealth. Kentuckians have lost so much without Roe, but we're not giving up."
