Rep. Morgan McGarvey, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Kentucky’s 3rd district, has been vocal on various issues through his social media presence. On February 3 and 4, 2025, McGarvey addressed concerns regarding former President Trump's actions, potential tariffs affecting the bourbon industry in Kentucky, and the significance of Black History Month.

On February 3, Rep. McGarvey expressed his constituents' concerns about former President Trump's actions. He stated that House Democrats are actively mobilizing to counter what he described as extremism: "Many of my constituents are concerned about Trump's actions but are wondering what anyone's going to DO about it. I hear you. House Democrats aren't taking any of this sitting down — we're mobilizing, and we're going to use every tool we have to push back against this extremism."

Later that day, McGarvey highlighted the potential impact of Trump tariffs on Kentucky's bourbon industry: "Let’s be clear: this fight is far from over. There are 20,000 Kentuckians working in the bourbon industry who still have to worry about their jobs if the Trump tariffs go into effect next month. Their livelihoods should never be used as a bargaining chip — not now, not ever."

On February 4, Rep. McGarvey commemorated Black History Month by celebrating the contributions of Black Americans and reaffirming his commitment to protecting their historical achievements: "This Black History Month, we celebrate the culture, voices, and stories of Black Americans, who have been a brave and unyielding force for change throughout our nation's history. We will continue to stand firmly against any attempts to erode this progress or erase this history."
