Rep. Morgan McGarvey, a current member of the U.S. Congress representing Kentucky's 3rd district, has recently shared his views on several key issues via social media. These posts highlight his involvement in supporting LGBTQ+ rights, concern over potential economic impacts on local industries, and opposition to proposed budgetary changes.

On February 11, Rep. McGarvey expressed his pride in joining the Congressional Equality Caucus amid what he describes as "increased attacks" against the LGBTQ+ community. He emphasized the need for continued support and advocacy, stating that "we can't abandon our LGBTQ+ friends and neighbors — we have to fight back harder than ever."

The following day, February 12, McGarvey addressed concerns about tariffs proposed by former President Trump. He highlighted the potential negative impact these tariffs could have on Kentucky's bourbon industry, noting that "Trump's broad, petty tariffs would devastate Kentucky's signature bourbon industry." McGarvey discussed this issue further during an appearance with Bourbon Pursuit.

On February 13, Rep. McGarvey turned his attention to the Republican budget proposal being voted on in Congress. He criticized the proposal for including significant tax cuts while leaving many details unspecified: "They want $4.6 trillion in tax cuts for their wealthy donors, and we don't even know what they're cutting to pay for it — they left 31 pages blank." McGarvey indicated that House Budget Democrats are actively opposing these measures.
