Two men have been sentenced in federal court for a series of armed robberies targeting businesses in Louisville and Bullitt County, Kentucky. U.S. Attorney Michael A. Bennett of the Western District of Kentucky and Chief Paul Humphrey of the Louisville Metro Police Department announced the sentencing.
Demarcus Page, 31, from Bullitt County, received a sentence of 26 years in federal prison followed by five years of supervised release. He was found guilty on eight counts of interference with commerce by robbery and three counts of brandishing a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence. Joseph Campbell, 29, from Louisville, was sentenced to 20 years in federal prison with an additional five years of supervised release. His convictions included five counts of interference with commerce by robbery and two counts related to firearms use during violent crimes. The crimes took place between June 12 and September 12, 2023.
Federal sentences do not allow for parole.
The Louisville Metro Police Department conducted the investigation into these offenses. Assistant U.S. Attorney Emily Lantz handled the prosecution.
This case is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), an initiative that coordinates law enforcement efforts at all levels to reduce violent crime and gun violence, aiming to make communities safer. On May 26, 2021, the Department implemented a strategy under PSN focused on building trust within communities, supporting organizations that prevent violence, setting strategic enforcement priorities, and evaluating outcomes.
