Morgan McGarvey, a U.S. Congressman representing Kentucky's 3rd district since 2023, has expressed his views on several pressing issues through recent tweets. McGarvey succeeded John Yarmuth and has a background in law and state legislation.

On March 10, 2025, McGarvey criticized actions that he perceives as violations of constitutional rights. He stated, "This is illegal. Our Constitution protects the right to free speech for everyone. Trump cannot detain, deport, or disappear a legal U.S. resident just because he doesn't agree with their views."

The following day, March 11, 2025, McGarvey addressed the issue of child hunger in the United States. He commented on social media about the political stance affecting children's welfare: "1 in 5 kids are going hungry in this country — Trump and Republicans want to take away their next meal."

Later that same day, McGarvey expressed his condolences over the passing of Junior Bridgeman. He acknowledged Bridgeman's contributions both within and beyond sports: "Heartbroken to hear of Junior Bridgeman's passing. He leaves behind an immeasurable legacy, on and off the court — as a basketball legend, businessman, philanthropist, and so much more."
