Rep. Morgan McGarvey, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Kentucky’s 3rd district since 2023, recently took to social media to share updates and opinions on various issues. McGarvey replaced John Yarmuth and has previously served in the Kentucky House of Representatives and the Kentucky Senate.

On March 20, 2025, McGarvey announced an opportunity for young artists in Louisville by stating "Exciting news for our young artists in Louisville—my office is now accepting applications for this year's Congressional Art Competition!" He encouraged potential applicants to visit his website for more details on how to submit their artwork before April 22.

Later that day, he criticized Republican proposals regarding Medicaid funding cuts. In a tweet posted at 16:45 UTC, he claimed "Republicans want to cut $880 billion from Medicaid — when they say they'll just 'pass those costs on' to the states, they're lying." He expressed skepticism about the feasibility of such claims.

In another tweet posted at 20:55 UTC, McGarvey addressed educational funding concerns. He noted that "Kentucky schools receive over $1 billion from the Department of Education each year." Furthermore, he accused former President Donald Trump of prioritizing tax cuts for billionaires over educational investments by stating "Donald Trump is literally stealing our kids' futures to pay for tax cuts for billionaires."
